Mission

Course Objective
  • As per some review, in modern era, al human being lives longer and longer so in that case pharmacist have crucial role. Here we produce knowledgeable and refined pharmacy graduates in disseminating expertise in service aspect and pharmacy care. To provide solid scientific and technical knowledge required to prepare professionals capable of undertaking, with responsibility and professional qualification, the wide range of activities connected to research, elaboration, control and dispensation of pharmaceutical products, medicine, diet food, cosmetics, and other products for health care and illness relief or cure.
  • Pharmacists are professionals who partake in health teams. Graduates can work in the official area (research laboratories, hospitals, pharmaceutical offices, etc) as well as in the private sphere. Concerning the latter, working possibilities embrace diverse aspects and responsibilities, including the technical direction and headquarters of official pharmacies; hospital pharmacies and the industrial pharmaceuticals. Graduates are qualified to dispense medicine destined to prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses affecting human beings. They interact with professionals form the health team by providing advice on the appropriate and rational use of medicine, as well as on its correct administration for the prevention of addictions. In hospitals, pharmacists’ activities involve the dispensation of medicine in unitary doses and its administration as a form of participation in the patients’ evolution. Pharmacists are responsible for the sterilization area. Within the pharmaceutical industry, pharmacists can be technical directors and can partake in research, advising, production and commercialization. Pharmacists will be involved in managing the acquisition, upon admission, of medication histories for a majority of hospital inpatients with complex and high-risk medication regimens in 75% of hospitals. The medication therapy of a majority of hospital inpatients with complex and high-risk medication regimens will be monitored by a pharmacist in 100% of hospitals. In 70% of health systems providing clinic care, pharmacists will manage medication therapy for clinic patients with complex and high-risk medication regimens, in collaboration with other members of the health-care team.
Program Outcomes

After being awarded the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honors), pharmacy graduates are expected to:

  • Serve with great manner and knowledge, innovative and possess leadership skill in pharmacy services.
  • Understand and perform the concepts learned and collaborate in various health disciplines and services, research and drug development industry.
  • Provide specialized pharmacy services, for example, in hospitals and clinical pharmacy, toward therapeutic drug usage and decrease in drug side effects.
  • Provide guidance and services to the community as well as healthcare providers relating to the latest development in pharmaceutical care.
  • Increase community health by sharing evidence-based information with the policy makers, health care providers and industrial personnel.
  • Communication Skills – The student shall read, write, speak, listen and use multimedia to communicate effectively. The student shall counsel and educate patients, as well as communicate with other health care professionals.
  • Critical Thinking – The student shall acquire, comprehend, apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information. The student shall integrate these abilities to identify, resolve, and prevent problems and make appropriate decisions. The student shall understand the research process.
  • Professional ethics and Responsibility – The student shall represent the profession in an ethical manner. The student shall identify, analyze and resolve ethical problems.
  • Social Interaction, Citizenship, Leadership, and Professionalism – The student shall demonstrate appropriate interpersonal behaviours. The student shall provide service to the profession, as well as the community. The student shall be proactive in collaborating with other health care professionals.
  • Life long Learning – The student shall continuously strive to expand his or her knowledge to maintain professional competence.
  • Information Management – The student shall apply technology to pharmacy practice and science. The student shall demonstrate the ability to interpret and evaluate data for the purpose of assessing the suitability, accuracy, and reliability of information from reference sources.
